2. Which search terms did you use to find images (for the letters of your name and the images that describe you) and why?

For the letters I searched the letter G or the letter R in brand names because I thought it was creative like me.

3. What skills did you use/learn in this project?

I learned how to use the slideshow mode in iPhoto and put together a slideshow with pictures fairly easy.

4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.

If I ever plan on making a video on my family history to show like my children or cousins etc. Maybe even to show a sports team all the pictures I took of them.

5. This was a more creative project than our first 2. Did you prefer it or the more cut and dry assignments in Word and Excel?

I love working with different applications on mac especially iPhoto, i Movie and Garageband.

Business/Charity Letter reflection

For the next project we had to choose a business and charity that business sponsors and write an appeal letter to ten people to either ask for help or money. My company decided to host a 5k run/walk that anyone could enter for ten dollars.

I learned how to use Mail Merge Manager to make sending this to document easier.

3. What was the easiest part of this project? What was the most difficult part of this project?

Easiest part was finding a business and its charity, the hardest part was using the Mail Merger.

I think I would use this when I am making christmas cards in the future and sending them to a lot of people.

5. Did you learn something new during this project that you did not know before?  If so, what?

Yes, Mail Merger Manager

M&M Project reflection

The first project we did in my Technology class was M&M counting and graphing. I was able to learn the basics of Microsoft Excel so that I can make spreadsheets. I also learned how to make charts like the pie chart above. I had fun doing this project and eating M&Ms!

1. What is a template?

A template as an electronic file with a customized structure used for many functions. i.e. fax, letter.

2. What functions did your spreadsheet perform?

I changed my spreadsheet into landscape form so I could fit everything on one page. With my data I made a pie chart. I was able to change the colors of my pie chart.

3. What skills did you use/learn in this project?

I learned how to better use Excel and work with spreadsheets. I also learned how to use the button that does the math for you.

4. Describe how you might use these skills and apply them to a real-world situation.

If I ever have to make a spreadsheet for my job I get in the future I will be able to do it with no problem.
