My Life - Final Project

1.
A) Identify the different music in your project.
B) Tell us what songs you used and...
C) Why you chose the different pieces.

I used Superman by Five for fighting because I thought it fit with all the 1994 information. Grow Up by Simple Plan was used because I thought it described my life. So Damn Lucky by Dave Matthews Band (DMB) was my final song because DMB is my favorite artist.
2.Describe how you went about finding your information, pictures, and songs:
A) What kinds of search terms/phrases did you use? (Give some examples.)
B) What search engine(s) do you use most often?
C) Did you find any unreliable websites or sources?

For the 1994 information I searched the cost of living in 1994 and there was a website called the history of people that had most of all the information needed in my video. I used Google the whole time. I believe my websites were accurate because I went to other sites to check the history of peoples website.

3. What different kinds of technology did you use to compile your project? [Web tools, Mac tools, etc...]

I used Powerpoint for some of my information but other than that I just used iMovie.
4. What are you good at...what went well for you in this project?
I believe my transitions and audio went very smooth.

5. With what did you struggle on this project...what was difficult for you?

Trying to keep my video entertaining and not boring and long. I tried to keep it short.
6.
A) Did you decide to use still slides?
B) Why or why not?  [If not, how did you convey your information?
]
C) Did you use a consistent theme throughout your movie?
D) Why or why not?

I used still slides but i used screen recording and recorded powerpoint presentations. I believe I tried to keep a consistent theme but I may have altered a few themes.
7. Describe how you used video in your project.

I used The So Damn Lucky Live at Radio City Music Hall for my credits because that is probably one of my favorite live concerts.
8.
For what other classes, situations, uses could this type of project be adapted?

You could do this for a wedding. For instance like a slideshow of the bride and groom and how they met etc.

9. How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976?[...not just that you cited the information - citing is not enough...tell me how you transformed what you've taken into something new, etc., How did you transform the music, information, images, etc.?
I used Zamzar to get music that I already did not have.

10. Would you do another project like this on your own? Why? Why not?

I might because I love to mess around with iMovie and make movies.

I searched for Folk Rock songs on Google and my mom helped me in finding some other songs that were Folk Rock my information also came from Google searches.

What different kinds of technology did you use to compile your project? [Web tools, Mac tools, etc...]
I first mixed my song in Garageband then I brought the song into iMovie and added all my information.

I feel like my song had great transitions from one song to the next.

With what did you struggle on this project...what was difficult for you?
Finding information about Folk Rock.

Did you decide to use still slides? Why or why not?  [If not, how did you convey your information?
I used the titles in iMovie mainly. I thought that the less text there was the easier it would b for people to watch.

For what other classes, situations, uses could this type of project be adapted?
It  could be used in like a history class for example the history of a famous king.

How did your project use the transformative property of borrowed images, music, and information to comply with the Copyright Law of 1976? [...not just that you cited the information, etc., but how did you transform the music, information, images, etc.]
I used ZamZar to get my songs for educational purposes which is not against the Copyright Law of 1976.

Would you do another project like this on your own? Why? Why not?
Yes, I make these kinds of videos for friends, weddings, and talent shows.

Our interview was probably the hardest thing because it was last minute.
I transferred basically the powerpoint into the movie.

We can use things for a films class or  advanced technology applications.
I used Zamzar too get music for educational purposes.
